HOW TO ENHANCE YOUR SEX LIFE WITH FOOD


  For most men, second only to money, sex is the highest measure of masculinity. If you disagree, just ask the next man you meet if he has ever experienced erectile problems, then, gauge his reaction and response. A man will sooner confess to you that he is broke than tell you he is impotent. For this reason, most men will experiment with the most unusual things in order to outperform themselves during sexual intercourse. Like the experience of an acquaintance of mine I will call John. John had asked this lady, Ngozi, out every month for eleven months, but she seemed to enjoy being wooed more than being in a real relationship, as she refused to get intimate with him.
 On his twelfth month of asking her out however, John hit the jack pot as she finally agreed to get intimate with him. He was the happiest man alive. One cold evening, after a sumptuous three course dinner at an expensive restaurant, she asked him to take her to his apartment. John was ecstatic, he had dreamt of that moment for a whole year, finally his dream of going to cloud nine with Ngozi was coming true. And it was quite an experience. On arrival at his apartment, John literarily swept her off her feet and carried her into his bedroom. Gently, he placed her on the soft king-size bed, and with the precision of a surgeon performing brain surgery, he peeled off every piece of clothing on her body and began to gently and sensuously stroke every inch of skin, sending waves of sexual desire into her soul. In the heat of passion, Ngozi grabbed his clean shaven head and begged him to have her, but she didn’t have to. John, like a depraved man, was already on top of her, and with lightening speed drove his car into her garage. Ngozi was thrilled by the size of John’s horse power engine as he revved it, she begged him to rev the engine even harder. John started to do as she pleaded when suddenly, his engine broke down. Stunned, he instantly began trying to fix the problem in order not to disappoint her, but nothing he tried worked. He hadn’t even taken her half way to cloud nine. His dream was shattered, and even worse, his ego was terribly bruised. After that sad experience, John became insecure about his sexuality; he began experimenting with various libido enhancing substances all in a bid to repair his damaged ego. One evening after using one of his newly discovered libido enhancing substances, he took Ngozi to his apartment and was about to make love to her when he had a heart attack and had to be rushed to the hospital.
You might think this is a fictional story, but as ridiculous as it may seem, it is a true life story. Many men will try almost anything, even harmful substances, just to ensure that they satisfy their women in bed. What most people do not know is that Mother Nature has prepared a harmless natural process for us to repair and boost our sexual abilities. 
 Loss of libido is a common complaint of many especially as we age. Men go through a gradual decrease in their androgenic hormones with age, a process called andropause. While this is normal, it does not mean that it cannot be successfully addressed.
 While it’s still true that the most important thing you can do to boost your libido is eat a healthy diet and maintain a healthy weight, there are a number of specific foods that will have a direct effect on how amorous you feel.
 Some of these foods increase male and female sex hormones, while others elevate mood or boost sperm production. The most important foods, however, play a critical role in increasing blood flow. Sex drive is all about circuitry, and foods which stimulate your nervous and circulatory systems will send more blood flowing to your sex organs, resulting in enhanced sexual arousal and performance. The list is as follows:
 Watermelon — Watermelon is rich with citrulline, an amino acid that helps improve blood flow to the heart and genitalia (sex organs), as well as to the rest of the body.
 Citrulline is highly effective at relaxing blood vessels, producing an effect similar to drugs like Viagra. Result: Increased blood flow to your sexual organs.
 One note: citrulline is actually found in higher concentrations in watermelon rind than in the flesh, but there’s still plenty citrulline in the delicious flesh to make eating it worthwhile.
 Dark Chocolate — Long rumored to be an aphrodisiac, a 2006 study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that women who ate chocolate on a daily basis had higher sexual function than those who didn’t. That’s because dark chocolate contains both serotonin, which boosts your mood, and phenylethylamine, which mimics the brain chemistry of a person in love.
 Asparagus — Asparagus is rich in folate, a B vitamin that helps increase your production of histamine. Proper levels of histamine play an essential role in sex drive for both men and women.
 Oysters — Oysters are packed full of zinc, essential for testosterone production and the maintenance of healthy sperm. Of course, you could just take a zinc supplement, but it’s not nearly as tasty!
 Oysters also boost dopamine, a hormone which results in increased libido in both men and women.
 Pumpkin seeds — Like oysters, pumpkin seeds are also extremely rich in zinc, and quite a bit cheaper. Another important note: Zinc deficiency can make a woman completely lose her sex drive.
 Pumpkin seeds are also rich in omega 3 essential fatty acids, which act as a precursor of prostaglandins—hormone-like substances that play a key role in sexual health.
 Garlic — Sure, it’ll do a number on your breath, but garlic also contains allicin, a compound thought to increase blood flow to the sexual organs.
 Sauerkraut (Fermented cabbage) produces compounds known as isothiocyanates, shown in studies to prevent the growth of cancer cells. And if that’s not enough, it’s also packed with fibre, vitamins, calcium and minerals.
