OAU STUDENT GIVES BIRTH, ATTEMPTS FLUSHING BABY DOWN TOILET

A female student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU),Oyin (surname withheld) gave birth in the Moremi Hostel hall toilet (Block-A) of the school this morning and attempted to flush the baby down the toilet, but was caught and stopped by the hall cleaners before she could complete the dastardly act.We gathered that the girl is a 400l student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of the great institution of learning. 

According to a student of the school who pleaded anonymity, “One of the hall cleaners heard a baby crying inside one of the toilet stalls and then saw blood coming from under the door. She immediately alerted other cleaners who forced the door open.
“When the cleaners entered the toilet they saw the student pouring water inside the closet, the baby turned upside down, with the head inside the closet.
One of the women dipped her hand inside and removed the baby boy, who was still alive but bleeding from the nose and very weak. The cleaners called school management who rushed both the girl and the baby to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital for treatment. The placenta fell while they were rushing the girl to the hospital.”

As as the time of writing this report, both the mother and new born baby were still at the hospital.
