Richest Artistes in Africa – Nigerian entertainers once more showed
their worth as pace setters on the continent as Answers Africa listed Tuface,
D’Banj, PSquare and BankyW, amongst Africa’s
ten richest artistes. Senegalese singer, Youssou
N’Dour topped the list, PSquare was placed 2nd,D’Banj came 3rd, 2Face Idibia on 7th, while BankyW was listed number 9th position.
About their
earnings, Africa Answers wrote that: PSquare worth above $150,000 per show.
Their Squareville located at Ikeja is worth $3
million, they also have a three years deal with Globalcom, a telecommunication
company in Nigeria as brand ambassadors where they are being paid a million
dollars per year.
D’banj, made $1 million dollars when he was paid by a
TV station on his own reality show called the Koko Mansion. His Atlanta crib
was valued to worth $1.5 million and he allegedly charges on the upside of
$100,000 per show presently.
Tuface, who
recently had an exclusive wedding the city of Dubai, reportedly has a huge
investment in real estate across Nigeria, earns about $50,000 to $80,000 per
show and also owns a night club in Nigeria
Banky W, according
to Answers Africa: “His skill and talent in music has made him one of the
richest Africa musicians.
Banky W has been a brand ambassador for Estisalat mobile
in Nigeria and is presently the face for Samsung products in the west African
countries. Out of his large heart, Banky W has begun Mr Capable Foundation; an
education charity organization with the aim to support in the education of
children from poor families.”
Other Africans artist on the list are Kofi
Olomide also from DR Congo on number 4, Salif Keita from Mali on number 5,
Fally Ipupa from DR Congo 6, South African singer/Trumpeter Hugh Masekela 8,
Joseph Mayanja commonly known by his stage name as Joe Chameleon or Jose
Chameleone from Uganda 10,
